Investigations, White Collar and Fraud Practice

Mintz & Gold's Investigation, White Collar and Fraud practice is headed by Elliot G. Sagor, a former Assistant U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York. The practice group also includes Ira Lee Sorkin, who is also a former Assistant U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York.  In addition, the practice group includes four former Assistant District Attorneys and others who have engaged in white collar defense and investigation. The firm provides counsel to both individuals and corporations charged with federal and state crimes, as well as investigations and actions brought by various regulatory agencies. We have the experience and good results to defend a wide array of charges including allegations of securities fraud, anti-trust violations including bid rigging, public corruption, bribery, mail and wire fraud, and tax evasion. In addition to our "white collar" practice, our criminal defense practice also includes more traditional criminal offenses, ranging from DWI offenses and other simple misdemeanors to complex felonies. The firm has litigated a wide variety of securities-related matters including representing clients in response to Securities and Exchange Commission investigations and proceedings and proceedings brought by the New York Stock Exchange, the National Association of Securities Dealers and state regulators.
