Phil is an associate in Mintz & Gold’s Commercial Litigation, Criminal Defense, and White Collar Criminal Defense and Investigations practice groups. Before joining Mintz & Gold, Phil served as a law clerk to the Hon. Andrea Masley, Justice to the New York State Supreme Court Commercial Division in Manhattan. While there, Phil worked on some of New York’s most complex business disputes.
Prior to his clerkship, Phil was an Assistant District Attorney at the Kings County District Attorney’s Office in Brooklyn. As an Assistant District Attorney, Phil was the lead prosecutor on hundreds of criminal cases, including attempted murder, armed robbery, weapons possession, and fraud. He went to trial, presented cases to the Grand Jury and argued countless evidentiary motions in preparation for trial.
Associations and Awards
Phil graduated from The George Washington University Law School, where he was an associate in the Prisoner and Reentry Clinic, a member of the Federal Communication Law Journal, and the recipient of the Pro Bono Service Award for Outstanding Work in the Public Interest. Prior to law school, he received his B.A. in Sport Management from the University of Michigan.
Phil is a member of the Bar of the State of New York.
