Amit’s practice focuses on representing start-up and middle-market businesses on a variety of corporate matters, including, corporate structure, seed round investments, capital raises, M&A activity, and contract negotiation. Amit’s specialty is representing financial institutions — proprietary trading firms, hedge funds, and broker/dealers — on regulatory, corporate, and litigation matters unique to their industry. Amit also serves as outside general counsel to a variety of cryptocurrency businesses, including a global market-making firm.
Amit received his undergraduate degree from Villanova University cum laude, his J.D. from Boston University School of Law, and his M.B.A. from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. Amit brings a unique perspective to the practice of law, as he is known for giving clients practical, business-minded guidance that spans the transactional and litigation divide.
Prior to joining Mintz & Gold, Amit was a partner at the firm of Joshpe Mooney Paltzik LLP and an associate at Lowenstein Sandler. Amit was recognized in Super Lawyers as a New York Metro Rising Star from 2016 – 2019.
