Justice Howard Miller has spent the past 11 years as a Justice on the Appellate Division of the Supreme Court, Second Department. For 23 years prior to that time, he served in many judicial capacities in New York including Justice of the Supreme Court of the State of New York, Acting Surrogate County Clerk, and Family Court Judge in Rockland County. Justice Miller brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to Mintz & Gold’s litigation department.

1993 – 1995 – Appointed by Chief Judge Judith S. Kaye to the “Committee on the Profession and the Courts.” The Committee published a report to the Chief Judge in November, 1995
1992 – 1998 – Chairman, Court Administration Gender Fairness Subcommittee, and Member of the Ninth Judicial District Gender Fairness Committee
1979 – 1983 – Member, Governors Carey and Cuomo Commissions on Domestic Violence
1975 – 1980 – Faculty Member, National Judicial College
