Real Estate

Mintz & Gold’s Real Estate Department has a national practice specializing in a broad range of commercial real estate law. Our practice includes representing owners and tenants in many varied commercial leasing transactions. We have extensive experience with respect to office, retail, warehouse, and shopping center leasing, and have represented national and multinational institutional tenants and national retail chains as well as major Manhattan landlords.

The attorneys of our Real Estate Department also have expertise in the field of construction and development, representing clients on projects involving museums, theaters, factories, newspaper printing plants, telecommunications facilities, condominium conversions and office properties.

Our attorneys’ projects have included the sale, purchase and ground leasing of office, industrial retail, shopping center and private and commercial residential properties throughout the United States. In connection with these projects, we have negotiated many varied joint venture agreements among partners, developers, and investors.

Attorneys in Mintz & Gold’s Real Estate Department have also acted as counsel to both institutional lenders and sophisticated borrowers in complex real estate financing transactions, including first mortgage, conduit, and mezzanine financing. In addition, we have developed substantial experience with real estate workouts and troubled projects, negotiating settlement agreements, restructured loans and bankruptcy plans with the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, Resolution Trust Corporation and numerous institutional lenders and joint ventures affecting properties throughout the United States.
