Maria Garcia focuses her practice on civil litigation, white collar defense, and advising financial institutions on regulatory compliance.
Prior to joining Mintz & Gold, Maria was a litigation associate at Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison in New York City. Maria clerked for the Honorable Phyllis D. Thompson, Associate Judge of the District of Columbia Court of Appeals. Maria also previously interned at the United States Attorney’s Office for the District of Columbia in the Violent Crimes and Narcotics Trafficking Division.
While attending Duke University School of Law, Maria was an executive editor of the Duke Law Journal of Gender Law & Policy and a member of the Duke Law Moot Court Board.
Maria is admitted to practice in New York and New Jersey.
